4th of July

I hope everyone had a great time on the 4th! What a great holiday- I just love to splurge on everything American... big juicy hamburgers, country music, stars and stripes everywhere! Here is a photo of our little 'Firecracker' sporting Firecracker Gumdrops. To celebrate the holiday we headed over to a local park where the city hosted a huge 4th of July parade, vendor fair and fireworks show. I couldn't believe how crowded it was! Hundreds of people with pop-up tents and grills BBQ'n all day and playing football. Such fun! Abby had a great time running around in the kids section where they had about 15 inflatable mazes, bouncers and slides. We took off before the fireworks show to get the kids in bed. After skipping her nap, Abby had a very 'glazed' look in her eyes and began ignoring orders from mom and dad, so for our own sanity we decided to let her catch the fireworks next year. With kids in bed, Tom and I headed up to our balcony with a few sodas to watch the distant fireworks shows. All in all, it was a great holiday!
